A Few Words About Nigerian Scams and The Paradigm Shift Of Being An Idiot, In 2008

Monday, 11 Feb 2008

(left, Clearly A Nigerian Businessman)

While of course scams are bad, Nigerian or otherwise, I would like to add a few things:

Some very basic humans tend to see things in a one-dimensional way, something is bad, or good, for example. They do not have the mental agility to all at once see 10 sides of any item and while deciding upon a primary conclusion, also arriving at secondary conclusions as well .

For example, Nigerian Scams are bad and hurt innocent people, but they also cause lulz for both the innocent and the non-innocent alike. Without them, there would not be scambaiters, and there would not be the exchanges you may or may not have just read here (The “Nigeria Calling” series).

Let’s be honest, the only people fail-factories who fall for Nigerian scams are:

1) the stupid and/or sheltered

2) the overly greedy

3) people who consider themselves wonderfully lucky and are therefore perennially gullible

Now, if our country has an abundance of the above, shouldn’t we be thanking the people of Nigeria for pointing this out to us and also teaching those bumpkins a lesson? My fellow Americans, It’s lesson time, and you know what?

We fucking outsourced it to that hell-hole Nigeria!

Being an idiot used to mean that idiotic things would happen to you all the time, thus making being an idiot inconvenient.

If we, as a nation, are going to ensure that there is no way to be an idiot anymore, by safeguarding every possible avenue for idiocy, what then is the benefit of being intelligent?

Maybe they don’t play D&D as much as you do. If only those stupid jerks had a 10 sided dice and a +10 bonus in mental agility…

  8. My country is not an hell-hole. If your country men can’t see beyond their greedy noses, then it’s just too bad. Remember, it takes two to tango.

  11. I lived in Nigeria for 11 years of my life and while it doesn’t quite live up to douchey American standards (Hello, Sarah Palin), I don’t think it can be described as a “hell-hole”. It is unfortunate that e-mail scams have been assigned the Nigerian moniker but please do not generalize and don’t assume. If there weren’t so many dumbasses, people would not be tempted to take advantage of their stupidity.

  12. I think heydouche is just angry because he’s too slow, a simple idiot and a village champion and can’t possibly figure out how those “Imbwana……effin dumb ass excuses for human beings” are smarter than our American “intellectual super-humans” Remind me heydouche, how does the saying go again? If you fool me once, shame on you. If you fool me twice, shame on me. Just tonight thousands more Americans will be fooled by this same scams everyone is aware of. Hmn, I wonder who is the actual fool and the true Imbwana……effin dumb ass excuses for human beings. Oooop! Only an unexposed cave man still thinks Africa is still “pre-historic” Sorry bro, Travel and see.
