Artie Lange Scores A Dui In New Jersey

I got SiriusXM again and have been listening to Howard Stern again.

Artie Lange was supposedly on the wagon and had kicked heroin and booze. After seeing the video from the Joe Buck Live show I was pretty sure he was on drugs again.

The problem with being on drugs is that you don’t really have a clear sense, mentally, of what’s appropriate and what’s not and worse your radar to sense in others if you’re being inappropriate is broken.

This was Joe Buck’s first show I guess, and Artie did overstep his bounds a little and didn’t stick with the format. The format of these shows is that everyone goes around and says a few punchy lines, then a change of topic, then more punchy lines from the panel. If Artie was 100% sober he wouldn’t have been so defensive and would’ve known his proper place.

Anyhow, apparently Artie got a DUI today in Toms River New Jersey while driving a fucking Nissan Sentra. Remember when Morgan Freeman crashed that Nissan Maxima?

I care less about what this mean’s for Arties sobriety as I do about why the fuck celebrities are driving shitboxes like Nissans. That is far more shameful than getting a DUI.

   Artie Lange has always been an idiot in my book. He never had any thing good to say, and worse, when asked for a reason on why he didn’t agree or like something, he’d make another joke that didn’t make any sense and was purely for ’shock factor.’

   I wouldn’t wish it upon anybody, but I’m going to contradict that with, if he died, I wouldn’t care.

   Marty, thanks for bringing up how arties humor always remains surface-level. It’s something I noticed but didn’t articulate. I think he’s trying too hard to be like John Belushi. I wonder how long he’ll stay on the howard stern show. I know howard won’t want to be apart of enabling him to be out of control and unfunny.

   From Stern’s perspective, I don’t see how he could think he’s going to lose anyone by cutting Lange off the show. At this point, to them, he might just be like that one friend that is dating the girl you hate, but since he’s your friend, you still hang out with him despite not agreeing with anything he’s doing(even when he brings the bitch over.)
