I have recently been the victim of a fraudulent "scam" whereby I was lead to believe I had won £650,000 on a deaf lottery. I am profoundly deaf myself and so did not question the Legitimacy of this claim. I now realise that I have been subject of a very serious scam. I have transferred variour amounts of mooney totalling approximately £12,000. so I am hurtful myself then I was planning kill myself. My wife beg me...Don't kill yourself please....I really want kill to Harry Thomas, Ricky Yeager and Eric...I already called to the police...

Hey to Shai1,
I agree with you, I got this as well from him saying that I won 600,000 pounds, I wasn't too sure about it, then this girl called Sally Walker who add me on FB, saying what her name, age etc. asking if I'm deaf and giving me details about lottery man, Harry.
Then I started asking her questions like "How do I know it is real" then she just said he is real" I said "Well seems I can't afford 300 pounds for delivery fees" She said "well it up to you, you can borrow 200 pounds from someone or your family." I was thinking I can't just won because I have a good record with the government, I know that I don't have good record with government, as I really never did anything to be honest. Also it strange because Harry and Sally went offline at the same time! When I said "How can I know he is real"
Harry give me the address of where he want me to send the money that is going to Nigeria. So I look up the internet and saw the history of lottery scam which all of them are from Nigeria. SCAM!
Do not add Sally Walker!

I have the same problem. I just got an IM through Facebook just in few minutes ago. I've never met her but she said she's deaf and I thought she might be friends with my friends from RIT. I talked to her and she asked me questions then suddenly she said she won deaf lottery and asked me to talk to Harry. Her name is Trisha White. After she mentioned the deaf lottery, I blocked her. Do not add her.

wondering if this scam has moved to FB. Never heard of this before. I belong to a few deaf groups on FB and received an invite from someone who is supposedly deaf and I assumed they added me through one of the groups. She IMed me after I accepted the add, asked me if I'm deaf, my age, etc., which all seemed normal and then mentioned winning 750,000 from "the deaf lottery from Harry" and I had never heard of the deaf lottery before. I asked her what that was and while I asked, I googled it and came across this site (and others) talking about the deaf lottery scam. She was asking me for my AIM user name, but I don't have one, so she asked for my email and warning bells started going off in my mind and told her I wasn't comfortable giving that out to someone I just met. Immediately she went into offline status and deleted me from her friends list. I can't remember her full name, but the first name was Lilia.
