FML (Fuck My Life) Sucks

FML was funny for awhile.
I read the site occasionally, and when people were posting FML stories on their friends walls, that was funny too.
But its dead now.
Stop using the term, it is now fail. I see people using it on facebook like its an inside joke, an inside joke that everyone’s in on. I decided it was dead when I saw that one of my friends mom wrote an FML story on her daughter’s wall.
Old people getting in on a fad is usually a good sign that the fad has had a good run but is now over and shouldn’t ever be used again, unless its used ironically to mock people still using it (e.g. “I’m not funny enough to come up with anything on my own, so I should steal and help ruin someone else’s good idea. FML!@!@”).
I think it’s time we all found something new to use and ruin, or try to bring back something that was funny awhile ago but was ruined and forgotten about (Rick James, bitch?).
If this continues I might have to start unfriending anyone who uses it.

For me it was funny for a very short period of time. Until they all started (or i started noticing) being fake.
Wow didn’t see that one coming since mexican food was first invented.

Agreed. The FMLs have become increasingly lame; a typical FML now might read, “Today, like OMG, my dog farted at me. FML. ” And I miss The Chapelle Show in general, but Rick James was the best…

Uhhh oh you may have to defriend people who use it, what a threat because people should conform to your pet peeves if they wish to be your cyber friend. You sound like a real fucking loser plus you used the word fail as an adjective which is a new fad that is extremely dumb as well. Our generation is fucked if this topic even deserves a discussion. Hey Nick, thanks for weighing in! Nice catch there calling me out for using one fad while denouncing another. I would have hoped with your sherlock holmes-esque detective skills you might have been able to sense what English teachers call “Hyperbole.” Look it up some time, ass-douche.
