Global Warming, Fear Mongering, And Scare Tactics
Below is a photo of New York City submerged in water from the Atlantic ocean, which everyone has come to understand as the outcome of Global Warming. This global warming stuff is scary, eh?
It looks like New Jersey is safe over there, though. God knows liberals don’t care about places like New Jersey.
Remember when “fear mongering” and “scare tactics” were unforgivable sins of the Bush administration? Amazing how these tactics are just fine when it’s your party who is employing them to push your causes along. The end justifies the means is the mentality that has allowed humans throughout time to behave cruelly, unjustly and dishonestly. The Third Reich, Christian Inquisitioners, Islamic Extremists, Spanish Explorers, Iron Fist Communists, Environmental Terrorists— the list goes on and on. You’re apart of a rich legacy, you gentle environmentalist liberals.

Alright let me slow this down for the numb nut liberals out there.
See photo #1 ? This is a make-believe artist rendition, not unlike An Inconvenient Truth or The Day After Tomorrow.
This hasn’t happened. There is no compelling evidence that this will or can happen. There are many who believe that this must be thwarted at any costs. Some might call this sort of thing propaganda or “scare tactics”. Fear mongering. Some might even call it politically motivated. Some might argue that this is an attempt to control citizens, smash opposition, impose tariffs and taxes and create an environment where those who oppose the party line are treated as outcasts or even criminalized. Fascism, in other words.
Now take a look at Photo #2. This actually happened. Our President who told us that this type of thing happening again was a grave danger to our nation and our citizen’s lives, and must be thwarted at any cost was called an Evil Dictator, Hitler, Propagandist, Fear Mongerer, Alarmist, Redneck, Racist, etc. He is nearly kicked out of office and would go on to become one of the most hated men in the world. He is considered by most of those who believe in the prophecy of Photo #1 to be a fascist.
A former Vice President who warns that what is depicted in photo #1 will likely happen if we do not change our ways, and this global warming poses a grave danger to our nation and citizens and makes a documentary with exaggerated imagery similar to Photo #1. He is awarded a Nobel Peace Prize and is never called any names for some reason, even by those who strongly oppose him.
But Andy, George Bush and his cronies had financial reasons for wanting to invade Oil Producing/Exporting Countries and this is why he made terrorism into such a big deal. What are you gonna tell me that Al Gore and the liberals own Green Companies or something? Green is natural. It’s the earth. There’s no money behind it.

Not really that misanthropomorphic I dont think, you’re moreabout politics here which is such a human condition! Im new on the misanthropy public scene – has the term been narrowed down to just wingeing about people and not so much about believing nature is more important than humans (my belief except that Im not so extreme about ecologically-wise or willing humans).

I agree with who said youre narrow minded – in respect of only believing in sudden disasters as a danger to human life as we know it – it is time to evolve and these issues go WAY beyond any political games the boys are playin! Please, dont believe the hype (AL Gore’s Inconvenient TRuth has major inaccuracies), just ask an East African. I think you be less than convinced by the threat of environmental problems because you havent been educated by principles of ecology – then you would become wiser to the opportunity to evolve we are faced with now.

I will ignore those, and counter them with the point that by discounting the fact that global warming is an imminent danger, he is in fact encouraging the slow death of the human race’.
I am now going to provide you with a list of things that will kill the human race long before the fucking sun:
1) Type 2 Diabetes
2) Rap Music – If you cannot see that rap music is causing the perpetuation of the stereotypical black culture, which may eventually implode on itself, then you need to take a close look at how close their culture is tied to those things it deems ‘popular’.
3) Political Correctness – The creativity killer, and hallmark of the liberal loser. This doesn’t mean that I think you should be able to call anyone with a mental disability a ‘retard’, but was it REALLY necessary that sporting events be changed from ‘businessman’s special’ to ‘business persons special’? Honestly, was there a group of females that refused to attend an event such as this because of its ‘obvious masculine undertones’?
No, but seriously, Global Warming is a much more pressing issue than the cultural ones that i-need-a-handout democrats care to believe.

It’s funny that you chose to use something like a make believe scenario to be the epitome of environmental efforts. Why didn’t you choose the Great Pacific Garbage Patch or the amount of pollution found on the north and south poles (that clearly go from clean to dirty beginning around the 19th century)? Being environmental doesn’t mean buying trendy items with green stickers (lots of environmentalists are aware and frustrated that corporations can take advantage of this sentiment and CASH IN ON IT. HOLY FUCK THE IRONY).
Now, if 9/11 was an attack upon American soil, what was it caused by? Can you please tell me what you THINK caused 9/11? How imaginative of you to compare liberal environmentalists to the Third Reich – I have so far been unaware of the environmentalists plan to destroy a race of people, in fact I thought the overarching aims of green campaigning are the opposite of this. You do sound a bit like a fascistic race supremacist yourself though, barking your hatred of attempts to provoke humanity into waking up, resisting that urge to indulge their greed to the point where life as we know it becomes impossible (peak oil, anyone? Nuclear power for all? Famine and starvation, GM crops?).
It seems to need spelling out – photo 1 is an imaginary scenario designed to provoke a reaction to the most insensitive of individuals (seems to have worked); the Day After Tomorrow is fiction; Bush was less a fascist and more an idiot; and how exactly are environmentalists making you feel like you’re being treated “cruelly and unjustly”? Did someone make you put rubbish in a bin instead of it blowing out the back of your pick up truck? I read the post. I read the comments. And yet, as I stare intently at Photo One, I find myself wondering, “What’s so bad about that?” I mean, is that possibility (or probability, or inevitability, or whatever) really supposed to scare me into changing my ways and giving money to some guy or group with the answers?
I mean, have some imagination. Such an event could turn out to be the single most important, beneficial event in the history of mankind. Is there any human being who can say with certainty that that would not be the case?

Oh shit, must update. Another thunderstorm bearing down on us. This one’s big. Already lost power, while typing original comment. Seven days in a row I’ve lost power, one night for eight hours straight. (This is no shit–lots of crazy storms in this region this season, spring/summer 2011). Already lost a tree, snapped like a twig–poor bastard. And now, ping-pong-ball-sized hail nailing my siding and windows. Fuck. I guess my house deserves it for being there, but I can’t afford a new roof. My car just got hit, too. What am I supposed to do about all those dents? If only I could have afforded a Prius.
