It’s so cute how all the liberals and Arabs think this guy shoe throwing guy is a hero. If they’d throw a shoe at President Bush they’d probably throw one at you too (or worse) for being an American.

It’s indicative of the mental state of these people— liberals and the uneducated oppressed masses in the arab world— not much different than that of children. Sure, asssaulting someone is the way to protest the violence your country has seen. You cowards lived under an oppressive secular regime and now are begging to live under an oppressive religious regime. Keep in mind that this wave of extremism is a relatively new thing– or rather, a revivalist movement.
Baghdad was once the cultural and arts mecca of the middle east.

The Arab world deserves what they get. It’s time for people to stop excusing their childish behavior because of their “proud culture” or “religion”.

Hah, I agree completely. Nowhere was it said that ALL Muslims are bombers, only stupid…I mean come on this is a culture where strapping a bomb on your chest and running into a cafe makes you a hero. Now, statistically, there is surely a percentage of the Muslim population in the Middle East that finds the actions of the “chosen” few to be repugnant…but they’re not doing much about it are they? In the west our fundamentalists annoy us, true some have committed some acts of violence, but on a whole in modern times our fundamentalists have be relegated to scamming idiots through televangelism or annoying the average joe with door to door pamphlet parades. Their fundamentalists run their countries, into the ground I might add, and proliferate ignorance and jihad. The Middle East needs to join the rest of the world in the 21st century or just step the hell off the world stage. By the way, I detest Bush, but throwing a shoe at a president means they’d gladly throw a bomb at you, they don’t respect any other culture but their own and most importantly they don’t fear us…mainly because we’re pussies who are governed by public opinion, where waging war efficiently is seen as nasty and cruel…life’s cruel idiots and war isn’t for winning hearts and minds. Trust me, if you rip out your enemies’ hearts…you don’t have to worry about their minds. Maybe if we allowed our military to kick their asses instead of babysitting a bunch of adult todlers, Baghdad would be a much more civil place.
