'rackets' arent about limiting beliefs - they are about the stories we tell ourselves to justify our own actions eg al capone thought he was a kind hearted generous individual instead of a thief who stole from honest hardworking citizens 2. what they said at the end was "we are 'meaning-making machines' but the problem is nothing makes sense and its not supposed to - this is it!". this is a cool philosophy but its also what made jean-paul satre kill himself (they add a caveat to this saying that 'its meaningless that its all meaningless', but that too is ultimately meaningless!) i went on LE but didnt sign up for their other courses – it felt was too sinister but i couldnt put my finger on what it was…it would be great if you could objectify/demystify their teachings
