No On Proposition 8 People Are Totalitarian Fascists
If you don’t know, proposition 8 was a ballot measure here in California that defined marriage as a union between a Man and a Woman. Above you see a sea of hippies, pissing off and inconveniencing people who have jobs to go to.
I really don’t care about the politics or the players/voters behind it. I could care less about the Gay getting married one way or another. But what really pisses me off is that these people, 99.9% of them Democrats don’t understand how DEMOCRACY works.
Quick Lesson In Democracy:
A group of people get together and decide they want to make something a law. They get signatures and give it to their representatives who in turn argue to put it onto the election ballot by getting more signatures and setting up PACs. People vote. Whatever the outcome of the election, government types write it into law and then the people of the land or citizens have to follow said law.
Let me slow it down for Democrats. You know that guy Obama that you and a lot of others voted for and he is now the President? Oh, you like when it works that way. Ok, well sometimes you don’t get what you want.
Democrat: but the civil rights and the not letting gay people who love each other marry.
Me: Ok have some Democrat politician take it to the state supreme court and have them argue to rule the law unconstitutional. Or wait until the next election as per how our democracy works.
Democrat: you fascist homophobe.
Protests do nothing. Staying home sick from work because your gay does nothing.
You are not beleaguered minorities, you’re all crybabies who can’t stand not getting your way. Most of you aren’t even gay.
Hey straight guy who marches and clogs traffic to look open minded– you’re not Martin Luther King: Go home to your pear shaped short haired girlfriend who dreams about sleeping with a guy who can afford a Prius.
Also, keep your No On 8 indignation off of StumbleUpon and Digg. I’m forced to use these services and do not like seeing your hippie bullshit all the time.

First, you spelled “you’re” wrong. Your is a possesive, as in your book, your car, etc. You’re is a contraction of the phrase “you are”. As in, you’re delusional.
Second, Proposition 8 is legalized discrimination. If Mississippi had voted on civil rights for Black Americans in the 1960s, do you think that would have passed? Hell, no. Just because a very slight majority of CA voters approved Prop 8 doesn’t make it right. Singling out any group of people that is defined by one characteristic: gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation, and denying them the same rights that you enjoy, is WRONG! Sometimes the courts must legislate in order to ensure that a group isn’t discriminated against. Sometimes “the people” are wrong.

I don’t think you quite understand the terms you are using. ‘Fascism’ and ‘democracy’ are not opposites. Fascism is installed by vote quite often. I’ll let you look up the historical examples. ‘Totalitarian’ is just a complete non-sequitur here.
I suspect you think it is rebellious to fight the ‘liberals’ and ‘girls who won’t sleep with you’ on your blog. I’ve been there myself, back when girls wouldn’t sleep with me.
But, remember, all the things that make you sad that you associate with ‘liberals’ because you moved to Los Angeles or wherever (classism, dumb trends, girls who won’t sleep with you) are ten times worse back in Arkansas or Pennsylvania or wherever you are from. Go home to visit. Remind yourself. Because you are kinda being a fag.
